Cream Puffs

After cooking and stuffing with chocolate pudding.
Before cooking.
I made cream puffs to take up to the church for the treat for the people that clean the church but we ended up eating them over at the Hafen home. And everyone enjoyed them. So that was a good sign. I made them bite size and put chocolate pudding inside of them and they were delicious.I got the recipe from Our Best Bites.

A Day of Service

In the April Conference President Monson asked that we would give our time to a day of service. Which we had a stake day of service. We went and helped the older members of our ward clean and pull the weeds and made the yards look better. We helped at 2 peoples home. And it felt good to serve. I am still learning that some service is very hard work. That at the time require just man's hard work or bodies. But we still gave the service that we could give. Jonathan and the children then helped a family move and watched their children I was at home cleaning and making a treat. Emma called me and needed some back up. The kids were so cute J looked a little overwhelmed. But he had a good experience. He is always willing to help others. He is such a great example . Then we went over to the church and helped clean the church. So we had a full day of service . Later the boys and I went on a walk with the dog and Jacob was riding his bike and fell off at the time he could not even walk. But I asked a boy from our neigh boor hood to take us back home. I was grateful for his service that he gave us.

Time with Emma

Emma and I had a date night. While the boys went on the Father's and son's. We went to Brad's and had some delicious english chips and then we went and helped Grandma get ready for bed and then we to see the movie Super 8 This is what the movie was about..After witnessing a mysterious train crash, a group of friends in the summer of 1979 begin noticing strange happenings going around in their small town, and begin to investigate into the creepy phenomenon.
I thought it was very good. And The boy Riley Griffths actually went to our elementary school. He is a year older than Emma.
We had a great time and then we came home and watched Drop Dead Diva. We had a great night being together.

Tres Leches Cupcakes

Tres Leches Cupcakes
Recipe by Our Best Bites

8 oz. evaporated milk

1 can sweetened condensed milk 24 white cupcakes (try this or this recipe)

1 pint whipping cream, divided

3-4 Tbsp. Hershey’s Caramel Syrup

Sliced fresh fruit (like strawberries, mangoes, and kiwis, optional)

Juice of 1 lime (optional)

Bake cupcakes according to recipe directions in FOIL LINERS. This is extremely important because it helps contain the milk mixture.

After cupcakes have cooled, use a bamboo skewer to poke several holes in each cupcake. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and 3/4 c. of whipping cream. Use a ladle to pour the milk mixture over each cupcake. There might be some runover. Such is life with tres leches cupcakes. Place the cupcakes in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

When ready to serve, beat the remaining 1 1/4 c. of whipping cream until medium peaks form. Gently fold in the caramel syrup and pipe or dollop the whipped cream on each of the cupcakes. If desired, toss the sliced fruit with the lime juice and top the cupcakes with the sliced fruit. Serve on a small plate with a dessert spoon.

This was so super yummy . Everyone just loved them. My friend suggested that we make them and we did. Just loves bestbites.com

Visit Teach

This was June Message that I though this cute handout from www.alittetipsy.com. She always makes the cutest handouts. I did not print ours. But gave the message. I love that it was talking about being self reliant and how important that it is. It was great to visit with our sisters and get to know them better.
