Eclair Squares

I got this recipe from got chicken . I just think this blog is fab. And I love eclairs. So I gave it a try. And this was all that was left. So I hurried and took a picture we put carmel and chocolate sauce on top. Which it became delicious. I was glad we could share it with Seval, Jade, Jylinn and Michelle. So I think I will make this again it was super yummy and not to bad to make the yellow is pudding with cream cheese and cool whip on top . Super easy to make.

Finished up Mark

I just finished reading Mark in the New Testament. I have loved reading about Jesus Christ and all the parables that he told and all the miracles that he performed. I hope that I can be more Christ like in my life. I have really enjoyed reading the New Testament.

Going out

Well we finished out the month by going to Cafe Rio. We had the pork salad. Which we shared Jonathan ended up liking more than I thought he would. And we had my favorite chocolate chesse flan. This is by far one of my favorite desserts. I love the texture and it just makes me very happy. We had a good time talking. This has been so good to go out with him. I love him so very much. He brings very much joy in my life. So thanks very much.

Color Glass Jello

I was in the mood for Jello and wanted to try this color glass jello. Well I made it on saturday night and then early saturday morning I finished it. I think the reason it went pink it was to be white. Is because the hot white and knox blox and condsened milk were still hot. So it is important that this cools down if you want it to be white. I used blue, peach, rasberry jello for my glass. This is a very yummy jello. It just takes a little time and fridge time.

Exercise

I really do not like exercising. But I do like working out with the wii. Lately my exercising consits of taking Princess on walks. Which is a work out. She loves to be up with Drew and Jacob when we walk down to the bus stop and will run to catch up to them. And this gets the heart pumping. So time to re commit to exercise for a longer period of time. Wish me luck.

Project Life for 2010

I am so glad that I did this Project Life . My family has loved it. They could not believe there was stories of everything. They said how did I do this. Well first I tried to upload my pictures everyweek. And then write the story. That way I could remember what happened. This book was a great price. I got it on a discount and the shipping was only $5. And it took about 5 days to get it. I was so excited it turned out great. So I am going to be doing one for 2011. But I am going to add another page so that we get all of 2011 in 1 book. Because in 2010 we are missing a few days from 2010. But I am very happy with it.

St. George Temple

What a beautiful day it was to be in St. George. The temple is so beautiful. I am glad that I had the chance to go down to the temple. Hopefully I can get better focused.

Girl Time

I organized to go out to lunch for Janice Cox birthday. I called people, texted and even made it an event on facebook. We had about 6 of us show up. But those who came we had a really a good time with Janice. She is such a great person. So it was fun to go out with her. I did not grab all those that came. I only pulled out my camera right before we were all to leave. But it was great fun. I need to do it again because I love having friends.

Drew

I also got a chance to go over Drew's goal. And his favorite goal is to pass off a level in wii nerf strike game. He claims that it is very hard and that he needs to work on it. I told him that this was a good goal but that he needs to make sure that his daily things are done first.

So we worked on his weblos. We worked on his fitness and his citizen. He knew who our president was and he knew who our mayor was .But he did not know who the Gov. was it was so nice to get on the net and show him pictures of our elected officials. It was so great to teach him about the flag and the pledge and about our laws and duties that we each have.

This Christmas we were able to see the flag that was flown well Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangeled Banner. This was a great trip to go back Drew loved learning every minute. So this was a great thing to learn about with Drew.

Emma

Today Emma and I looked at her 2011 goals and we set new goals for Feburary since January is almost gone. I love that she took the action to make goals for herself this year. She is growing up so fast. She is such a good girl. Today while we were in her personal progress we were learning about choice and accountabilty. Yes we always have choices but we do not always get to pick the choice of our decisions. If we make a wrong choice you might get your freedoms taken away. Which would not be a good thing. Plus we would like to recieve the blessings from making good decisions.

I just love spending time with Emma this weekend she made mini pizzas and cupcakes. She is starting to love to cook. Now I just need to clean up after she works in the kitchen.

Hot artichoke and spinach dip

I was craving applebee's dip. But the recipe I got with Knorr dip. I do not think that I put enough cream cheese and I think way to much spinach. and I put cheddar instead of montery cheese. We ate it with cheese and sourdough bread. Which I found out that Jacob hated sour dough bread. Emma liked it and Drew tolerated it. Drew would not try any of the dip and niether would Jacob. Emma liked it. Jonathan ate as much as I thought he would. So I do not think that I will be trying this dip again. Not a very good number in how many people liked it. Pictures later this week.

Homemade Carrot cake and frosting to.

I decided to make homemade carrot cake. I was remembering a time when my mom was in a cake decorating business and how much she made carrot cake for the new brides and grooms. That was her #1 cake flavor. I have not had homemade carrot cake for such a long time. I found this recipe in the cooking nanny book that I just love. And I made almond frosting to go with it I just don't know where I put the picture of the frosted cake if I find it I will put it up. But this cake was so moist and delicious and no I did not put any raisins in it. I even graded the carrots with my salad shooter. So thumbs up for this great cake. I gave the other half to Sister Mitchell I owed her a desert that she paid for at our RS auction.

Going out with my hubby

This has been our restaurant month. We will have to think of more activites to do beside eat out. But we had a great deal for Milts. And I love to go up in the mountains to eat out. They were out of prime rib so we had the t-bone and it was yummy. Jonathan was great company. He is so very busy with work and his calling. He is enjoying being Drew's basketball coach. He is such a great man I am glad that he takes care of me so well.

Make a photo calendar

Well actually I made one before christmas but I really did not like it and the price was high. But I found one that I liked that I did and I used the pictures from christmas and actually mailed it to mom and dad stathis. So I do not have any pictures of it. I was glad I could ship it directly to them. They actually got it today and are pleased with the results.

Take your vit

I really hate taking something every day. That is the reason I made it one of my goals. So that it would force me to take something in my body every day. So I am glad that it is done. And has helped my nails be stronger.

Emma

Emma was so great on our trip. She helped with all the children. She loved when we took her to Tangled. She organized a FHE that we had and she was writting a play for us all to do. But we ran out of time to do the play. She loved going to the mall with Grandma. She loved going to Mount Veronon I think if she could have moved in she would have moved in.

She loves playing with Legos. This was a cool house. We just love our sweet Emma.

Costa Vida

I think this is one of our favorite places to go. But you can't help having the sweet pork burito. It is very delicious. I loved my dinner. And I loved spending time with J. He is the best and I am so glad that he is mine forever. Then we came home and watched the Sorcessor Apprectiance with the kids. It was a great night.

The Book of Mormon

I finished the Book of Mormon today. I am so excited I learned so much this time around. I was looking for the words women, wife, daughter and I found these words many times. I think one word I really got out of the Book of Mormon was the word strength. Heavenly Father are there for us and want us to be strong in all of areas of our life. I am so grateful that we are given this book as a guide that we know Jesus Christ did visit the earth.

Sausage and gravy biscuits

I made this last night for dinner. Alll from scratch. The gravy was great. But the biscuits were to thin and they were to close to the burner. But everyone ate them. So I need to retry making biscuits. It made me upset that they did not turn out just right.

Marching to Freedom

Since we are so close to Martin Luther King, JR. day I thought I would read this youth book. It was very well written and the kids loved it when I started reading to them. I was reading it to them so that they would fall alsleep. But just when I thought they were alsleep they would say keep reading. We saw the counter were the boys did a sit in. When were on our trip. The children want to learn so much about our history now. I am so glad that they want to know more. They are going to be building a momument for Martin Luther King, JR. So we will have to go back and see it.
This book was great . I reccomend reading it.

Finish a Coloring Book

This might seem like a silly goal. But it took some time. I ususally colored when the kids where doing thier homework. I am so glad I got this done. The kids really wanted to color in my book. I had to keep telling them no. So I am glad that it is done.

Go on a date with my hubby

While we were back in Virginia. We were able to go out a few times. Chick-fil-a was when when we were doing last minute Christmas shopping. We went to Outback just for fun. The grandparents wanted to spend time with the children. And we got to go to Silverado to meet up with Atalie Cook VanDam and her husband Mike. It was so fun to see her and she has a great husband. We had a great time goin to these places and having fun getting there. Here is to having more fun dates.

The Secret Journal of Brett Colton

This book was suggested by Michelle. I said that sounds like a great book. And I went into Emma's room and she was reading it. So over Christmas break I took it with us. And I finished it. It was great. I really got into the book. I just love when an author can suck you into thier book and you can't wait to turn the next page. I strongly recommend this book. It was a very easy read. But a good read and it was not cheesy. Which is always good.

Stake Primary

On December 12. I spoke in the Mountain View ward. I love speaking in December. It is so nice to hear the beautiful music from the other wards. J and the kids came to hear me speak which made me more nervous. But the talk went well. And I gave the High counsel brother plenty of time to talk.

Visit Teach for December

This is what I gave each of the sister I visit teach. I saw it on a blog and then printed 4x6 and put it in a frame. They turned out great. It is so great to see the sisters in my ward. I am so glad that they let me come in thier homes and to talk to them about Jesus Christ.
