Book for Book Club

This will be my picked for Book Club. I got it from my Aunt for my Birthday. And thought while I was waiting for another book from the Library I would read this. And I am glad I did.

I got this from http://www.allysoncondie.com/ website.

In the Society, Officials decide. Who you love. Where you work. When you die.

Cassia has always trusted their choices. It’s hardly any price to pay for a long life, the perfect job, the ideal mate. So when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is the one… until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now Cassia is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path no one else has ever dared follow — between perfection and passion.

I thought this was a great read. I did not realize when I was reading this book that it will be a trilogy. At the end you wonder if it going to end because you do not want it to end. I liked her writing style and it kept me reading.

Emma and cousins going to the temple

One of my favorite things to do this Spring Break was to take Emma, Afton, Kate to the St. George Temple and to do Baptism for the Dead. Thanks to Grandma Bryant we had some family names. I just loved how excited the girls were and how calm they were. And I loved seeing other youth in the temple on their Spring Break giving service. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time. Thanks to Aunt Sarah who watched the other kids. It will be fun when we can take them all.

Penne with sausage, red potatoes and greenbeans

This is a great dish the Italian sausage was to strong for the kids. This would be a great dish in the summer with fresh green beans. We even got to share some with the Jolley family. I just love the Food Nanny recipes and ideas. I really like theme nights. It has been easier to make a menu and stick with it.

Stake Primary Baptism

I really love going once a month to Stake Baptism. Everyone is so happy and the little children are so excited. It has been such a wonderful time listening about the first steps in the gospel. I love the baptism talks and the Holy Ghost talks. I love when the brother or sister have a talk or sing the song. I love when the Grandparents speak and are so excited. What a wonderful event and step toward Heavenly Father. My job is to direct traffic from one room to the next and this time I was able to witness all 3 boys baptisms. It was a great day.

Service

What kind of service do you do? Well I have been thinking that this goal will never really be attainable . Because how do you base when you are finished. So I am going to break it down to parts. 5, 10, 15 and longer. I hope you will not feel that I am bragging when I talk about services. But I just need to write it down. So that my children will know that I do.
So on Tuesday I was at the store. I could see a lady eying the cereal on the top shelf. There was no way she could reach it so I asked her if she needed some help. Yes she did. So I helped her reach her cereal. This was no big deal and took less than 5 min to help her out. And when I am not to crazy busy I put my shopping carts back to the carrier. So what will be your service.
P.S. I made the kids beds this week. I think more for the piece of mind that it gave to me.

Temple Time

For March Michelle and I went down to the St. George Temple. We had a good time together. It was so nice to be in the Temple. Then we went to Iggy's for lunch and to Costco. We had a great time talking and being together. I am so grateful for good friends.

Visiting Teaching

I did go in the month of Jan, Feb, and April but not March the month just escaped me. I don't know why Visiting Teaching can be so hard. I have a new partner that has 3 small children. I know when I go I do feel a lot better. So I am going to recoment to go and serve my sisters in the gospel. I went this month and felt really good. This is from ahttp://www.alittletipsy.com/. I love her handouts for Visiting Teaching. I did not give these to my sister's. But I love the message.

Two Gold Earrings and a Pair of Alligator Boots

A summary from the book.
A blazing fired and an untimely death by cancer caused Jason Swift an pretentious farmer from the Wyoming frontier, to seek an new way of life.

A whirlwind of unexpected circumstances make him an "oil tycoon" and then he embarks on an adventure to Nicaragua where a war is raging between the Sandinista and the Contra. The purpose of the Central America covert venture is to move literally tons of refined gold to a safer place. Experiences on the adventure exciting, educational and rewarding.
This is a historical action novel based on fact.
This was a book club pick. I am really glad that I am in a book club because I offered to read so many different kinds of books. Some I really enjoy and want more some that I don't. This had a lot of facts and what a beautiful country that he was able to explore. He was a very humble man that had lots of adventures. It would be fun to have so many adventures. I loved how people respected him and how much love his has for his family. It is good to know that people still love their families. So go and try this book.

Report

Emma did a report of National Monument and parks. She had done some research on Rainbow Bridge found done in Paige. So she wanted to have Rainbow cupcakes to go with it. She presented her class with her report and gave these to her class mates to help go along with her lesson.
