Slideshow

I was able to do a slideshow with all the pictures I took for the yearbook. It was 20 minutes set to music. And it took a lot of time to put it together. I went in the day before because I have never really done a well slideshow. So I was very worried. But the great janitors helped me learn how to set it up. I put it with music. The kids loved it they cheered and laughed and had a great time. But only 5 min left. The music you could not hear it. But overall it was great. I am so glad that I stretched myself and was able to do this for the school.

Private Yearbook

I had this listed as Private because I wanted to be able to have a goal be openned up that I might could do. I was given this opportuntiy this year by being able to do the yearbook for my boys school. It was a lot of work and a lot of time. I went in when I went in to read with the boys and I would ask to take pictures of the kids with their teachers and when they were in computers or in the music room or even having lunch and being lunch workers. I went to many different school activities and to field trips. This really has helped me grow to know the teachers and the great staff that the school has. It was a great project and I am so glad that I was able to grow and stretch with my computer skills and with my camera skills. I want to thank Sarah and Kate for helping me edit the yearbook.

Read the New Testament

I started the New Testament on Jan 3 and was able to finish it on May 27. I really wanted to finish it before the kids were home for the summer. I am so glad that I was able to finish I have learned so much about the New Testament and how much Jesus Christ loves us and how he is really God's son. I love the relationship God has with his son Jesus Christ. And how much he loves each one of us. We are so blessed .

Book Club Book

I found this review on www.shadowmountain.com I did not read the preview book before I started reading the book.
I thought it was a good read. I liked the way she worded and did not reuse the same words at all. And Abby did not seem like a baby teenager. Just average that had plans of where she wants to go. And has other friends so she is not so needy. I would recommend this book. It is very clean and a pretty quick read.
Abby’s senior year of high school is textbook perfect: She has a handsome and attentive boyfriend, good friends, good grades, and plans to attend college next year. But when she meets Dante Alexander, a foreign-exchange student from Italy, her life suddenly takes a different turn. He’s mysterious, and interesting, and unlike anyone she’s ever met before. Abby can’t deny the growing attraction she feels for him. Nor can she deny the unusual things that seem to happen when Dante is around. Time behaves differently when they are together—traveling too fast or too slow or sometimes seeming to stop altogether.

When the band Zero Hour performs at the local hangout, Abby realizes that there’s something dangerous about the lead singer, Zo, and his band mates, Tony and V. Oddly, the three of them are also from Italy and have a strange relationship to Dante. They also hold a bizarre influence over their audience when performing. And Abby’s best friend, Valerie, is caught in their snare.

Dante tells Abby the truth of his past: he once worked for Leonardo Da Vinci, helping to design and build a time machine. When Dante was falsely implicated as a traitor to his country, he was sent through the machine more than five hundred years into the future as punishment.

As the past and the present collide, Abby learns that she holds a special power over the flow of time itself. She and Dante must stop Zo from opening the time machine’s door and endangering everyone’s future. More than one life is at stake and Abby’s choice could change everything.

Stake Primary Baptism

I just love when the first of the month comes along and the children want to get baptized they are so excited to be there with their family and friends. We are getting so close to having Jacob baptized I am excited for this as he is also very excited for this as well. Which brings to question should everyone come to the baptism I would sure like it if his teachers came and his primary class. And our home teachers and everyone who loves Jacob.
